Q: What kind of equipment do you use?
A: We use professional Nikon film cameras, lenses, flashes, and accessories. If needed; we always have a complete second camera system with us on every wedding.
Q: What type of film do you use?
A: We use Fujicolor Professional Color Print Film. We bring ISO 400, ISO 800, and ISO 1600 to be prepared for all lighting situations.
Q: Do you photograph in color or black and white?
A: We photograph in color. This is so you have every option possible for your photographs. By shooting in full color the images can be digitally altered to black and white or sepia tone.
Q: Who processes the film and prints the photographs?
A: We use a professional imaging lab using the highest quality standards with the latest equipment and technology. Each image is individually assessed for color and exposure to provide you with highest quality prints available.
Q: How many proofs will I receive?
A: Between 100 and 400 proofs depending on the coverage you select. This certainly may vary as we do not “lock down” this number. It all depends on exactly what you would like photographed and the type of wedding you have.
Q: What are the standard pictures taken?
A: We have compiled a general list of all standard pictures taken. You may use this as a guideline and add or delete as you see fit.
Q: How many weddings do you photograph?
A: We photograph no more than one wedding on any given day. We are completely dedicated to you on your wedding day. If you need us to arrive early or stay late we have the availability and flexibility to do so on very short notice.
Q: Are you available to travel to photograph my wedding?
A: Yes, there may be a travel fee associated with this and any expenses such as hotel rooms.
Q: What happens to the original negatives and digital files after our wedding?
A: We archive all negatives to ensure they last a lifetime and beyond; great care is taken to maintain them. We also retain digital copies of all photographs in three locations to ensure their safety. If you do not purchase the negatives we offer them to all clients in one or two years after your wedding date for $50.00. Although technology is great we feel all clients should have their original negatives to ensure there memories are preserved. If you do not purchase them we will maintain them for as long as is feasible; about 50 years. Q: Do you offer any discounts?
A: Yes, please see our discount page to view available discounts.
Q: Do I have to tip my wedding photographer?
A: Although it is not common place it is becoming more prevalent; but, never expected. If you would like to tip the general amount is 5% - 10% of the coverage fee and is given on the wedding day. Tipping usually occurs if the photographer exceeded all your expectations on the wedding day.

Q: What do you wear to the wedding?
A: We are always clean cut and dressed as a guest. Normal attire is tan Dockers with a blue button up shirt and yellow and blue tie with a blue sports coat. We like to be comfortable yet professional and enjoy blending in with the quests to get to know people and make our subjects comfortable. If you are having a very formal wedding we can certainly wear a tuxedo or adjust our normal attire to your liking; (additional charges may apply).
Q: How do we reserve our wedding date?
A: Contact us at 413-543-4891 or by email at info@dhbphotography.com to set up a meeting in person or on the phone. We are able to meet with you on weekday evenings or weekends to accommodate your schedule. A $150.00 retainer and a signed agreement are required to reserve your wedding date.
Q: May we pay with credit card?
A: Yes, we are able to accept credit cards through Paypal.
